Samsung Galaxy S5 16GB version is now available

Guys, Samsung Galaxy S5 16GB version is now available on Saholic website has listed the Galaxy S5 for a price tag of Rs. 45,500 after which you could expect delivery of around 8th March 2014. The S5 is the flagship phone of Samsung running on Android KitKat.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 handset was recently announced at the MWC 2014 and its already in India. So far only the Saholic website has the handset listed though they don’t have the stock (official availability will be in April), Whats happening is not clear. The Galaxy S5 comes in four different colors (blue, white, black and copper gold) with a perforated back cover.(The copper gold version looks like a bandage form behind).

Anyways, on the front the S5 has a 5.1 inch super Full HD Super Amoled Display. Handset is 8.1mm thick and weighs about 145 grams. Android 4.4 KitKat runs the show with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and 128GB external card support. The Galaxy S5 is water and dust resistant it meets an "ingress protection" standard called IP67. Water resistant does not mean waterproof.

A Flagship 16MP AF camera with LED flash is placed on the rear and a modest 2MP on the front. It is powered by MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU. The CPU is quad core clocked at 2.5GHz.The CPU here is a beast but not the best out there.Samsung has thrown in a fingerprint scanner in the Galaxy S5 that will allow for mobile payments (PayPal), a "private mode" thatlocks your photos and data with your fingerprint. A "  kids mode " is designed for parents whose children use their devices. The S5, also comes with its own heart rate monitor, built into the back of the device below the camera.

The S5 will support up to eight bands of LTE, which means it'll work out of the box in just about any market in the world. There's Wi-Fi MIMO (802.11ac) and a " download booster " that supposedly combines data signals to pump up download speeds. Samsung claims the Galaxy S5 can download a GB of data in about 30 seconds.

Samsung's custom launcher, has been toned down and simplified — a striking departure, given that previous versions of TouchWiz were often more effective at getting in the way of users than helping them operate their smartphones.

Rest features include 3G (HSDPA 42Mbps), 2G, Wi-Fi (a/b/g/n/ac), GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and LTE. Battery is 2800 mAh which promises talktime of up to 21 hours on 2G network.

There's a new "ultra power saving mode" which will conserve battery by shutting the phone down to basically idle with only text and phone capabilities. When the battery charge drops to 10%, the phone will go into ultra-saving mode, allowing it to stay awake for up to 24 hours.

The S5 was listed on Saholic for Rs. 45,500.
It now, says item is out of stock.

Update:
Gee, it looks like the phone has been removed from Saholic now.
